"FLO-JO" - ALONE ON THE OLYMPIC TRACK
IN A MOMENT OF PRAYERFUL VICTORY
Unfortunately, some Olympiads have their share of unfortunate happenings. Let us call them the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Specifically, the Gold Medalist Champion Ben Johnson, of Canada, tested Positive for Stanozolol after his World Record, Gold Medal-Winning Performance in the 100 Meters - to become the Fastest Man Alive. Johnson initially denied knowingly using Steroids, but he later admitted it during a Canadian Government Inquiry. After serving a Suspension and being Stripped of his Gold Medal and World Record, Johnson returned to racing. However, some people don't always learn a lesson. In 1993, Ben Johnson earned a Lifetime Suspension Ban from all racing after testing Positive for Testosterone Doping.
