W.F. Cody - (1846-1917) – more properly known as " Buffalo Bill". Young Cody, along with his Parents and five sisters, moved to Salt Creek Valley, Kansas in 1854, when Bill Cody was only eight years of age. Later, the young man became Famous as an Indian Fighter, Scout, Pathfinder, Guide, Tracker and Courier.

Awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor in 1872 - But this Extraordinary Honor was Disputed and it was later taken away from Cody. After a Long Campaign by Admirer's and Historians this Important Honor was at last Restored in the late 1980's.
