It pleases us to feature the Dignified Official White House State Dinner Service of William Jefferson Clinton.
Bill Clinton (1993 to 2001) – This New Official White House China, By Lenox, of Trenton, New Jersey, was Commissioned for the 200th Anniversary of The White House. However, it did not arrive until after the Presidential Election of November 2000. This was a convenient arrival date, for the Clinton's, in that most Press Attention was focused in the direction of the new President-Elect - George W. Bush. Thus less attention was paid to the arrival of this Elegant 300 total piece Presidential Set, as approved of and ordered by President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton.

For reasons unknown, the Press often focuses concentrated attention on any White House China ordered by an Incumbent President. And, in the past, the comments by the Press have often been negative. This is always difficult to comprehend in that so many modern President's and First Ladies receive Private Funds for the expensive Official White House Services presented by them for permanent inclusion into The White House China Collection. In other words, some of the World's most beautiful Presidential Porcelain arrives at The White House at zero expense to the American taxpayers.
The Clintons took a totally different approach in that they eschewed the nearly always previously ordered Official Presidential Seal and instead depicted the imposing 12" Service Plate with a Gold rendition of the Executive Mansion itself. And the Service Plate was the only one of the set with an Enormous Gilded Gold Band.

The other pieces of this 12 Piece Place Setting (total of 300 pieces), of the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Service, all featured architectural designs from the State Dining room, The East Room and Diplomatic Reception Room - within the Gold Band.
