In Paris, for the second time of the young history of the Modern Olympic Games; Elite Athletes from all over the world – more than 3,000 Competitors from 44 Countries, met to do battle. The undisputed Super Star of the 1924 Summer Games turned out to be the great Paavo Nurmi of Finland.

This highly skilled Finn was the Winner of 5 Gold Medals and to this day is looked upon as legendary by all Olympic historians. Featured below is Johnny Weissmüller, the USA Triple Gold Medalist, who went on to even more fame in film as Tarzan.

Although the Amyx Collection has a Bronze, Silver and Gold 1924 Olympic Winners Medal, we have chosen the Gold Medal for the above display. Currently the 1924 Bronze and the Silver Olympic Winners Medals remain in The Raleigh DeGeer Amyx Collection (a.k.a.) The American Heritage Collection. In the near future both will be shared with another collector of note. Interested parties have only to call and express a serious interest.
