A RARE AND STUNNING OFFICIAL 1932 LAKE PLACID OLYMPIC JACKET
This stunning Official 1932 Olympic Wool Jacket is in Near Pristine Condition. It was worn during the Official Olympic Games, as well as during the Opening Ceremony. The 1932 Olympic Games were Officially Opened by Governor Franklin Delano Roosevelt. A year later Roosevelt was to become The President of The United States.

THE GOLD MEDALIST USA BOBSLEDDING TEAM - WEARING JACKETS USED IN COMPETITION
This beautiful Olympic Jacket is particularly Rare in that only 105 were Manufactured. The heavy wool Elite Athlete's Jacket is trimmed with large red buttons, a blue wool belt, a shawl style collar which is highlighted with two large flap pockets. On the left breast is the Official Olympic Red, White and Blue Patch with the Olympic Rings. The interior label reads, "A.G. Spalding Bros. New York, Chicago, San Francisco, London".
This stunning Jacket was issued and worn by One of the Gold Medalist Bobsled USA Team Members. The Athlete is seen below as he marches, with his fellow USA Team Members, into the Lake Placid Ice Arena for The Opening Ceremony.

Currently, this Rare piece is, as it has been for two-decades, in The Collection of Raleigh DeGeer Amyx (a.k.a.) The American Heritage Collection. In the not to distant future this rarity will be shared with an Institution or another collector of note.
